Converter RS-485
The POPE Professional® USB to RS-485 Converter is a port-powered small and convenient ultra portable adapter without need of external power supply. The power is supplied from the computer's USB port. It built around the PL-2303HX processor chip from Profilic which is a good all round processor suitable for sound applications. It is a bi-directional, (meaning it communicates in both directions), reliable and cost-effective adapter which easily lets you connect any RS-485 device directly to your computer's USB port, efficiently converting USB signals to half-duplex RS-485 signals and vice versa.
The custom made RJ-45 - XLR(M) - XLR(F) - RJ-45 convertion connector can be used to connect POPE Professional DSP Processor with computer. So the sound professionals can use their standard snake cable or XLR cable in the venue.
The POPE Professional® Software driver for USB to RS-485 converter is fully compatible with Windows 98Se, ME, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Server 2008, Vista, Windows 7but has only limited compatibility with Mac and Linux. But it is possible to configure with MAC and Linux operating system. Further support is also available for any software related issues from POPE Professional® system engineers.
